Hello and welcome to the first Gulliver blog of the new year. I am going to take some time today to discuss consignment and what makes it so special when compared to other forms of car sales. You may be asking yourself, “what is consignment” and what can it do for me? Simply put…consignment is when you give an agent your goods and they sell it for you while taking a small fee out of the total. Sounds easy right? Well it is and Gulliver USA is at the forefront of the consignment revolution. Here is how it can work for you…
As most people have experienced selling a car is filled with stress and hassle. At the moment there are really only two ways to sell your car. The most popular option is to trade your car in to a dealer. This is very easy, but almost always you are given a low-ball offer that you reluctantly agree to because you are already there and you really want that new car. So you suck it up and bite the bullet. This leaves you with a deflated sense of being taken advantage of…but hey you got your new car right? The other method is selling it yourself which greatly ups the chances of making more money. But at what cost? Well do you like having people come to your home? Do you enjoy making multiple trips to the DMV to sign endless paperwork? How about low offers and people calling you night and day? All of that sounds horrible and you almost always have to compromise either your time or money. What if i told you there was a way to combine the best of both worlds with none of the negatives? I think you see where this is headed…

Our trained car advisors work with kelley blue book, Edmunds.com, and a variety of other methods to estimate the best value for your particular car. What about the fee you ask? Most consignment dealerships charge a percentage, but Gulliver USA is different. Our fee is determined upon how much you would like in your pocket once the car is sold. The average fee is between $1000 and $2000. the magic happens in how we price the cars. What we do is add our fee to how much you want. for example if you would like $10,000, our fee comes out to about $1600 which we then add to your pocket price to create the sticker price. Said car would have a sticker price of $11,600. that way when your car sells you get the $10,000 you wanted! In doing so Gulliver USA is able to have prices much lower than most other traditional dealerships.
Once your car is sold after confirming the price with you…we cut you a check within two weeks and handle all the DMV paperwork as well. and that is it! we have had cars sell in one hour, but the usual time is about two weeks. sure you might have to wait a little while, but isnt making thousands more worth it? Yes it is!
